Catalogue note

Designed for the late-1960s connoisseur, this Seikomatic-P 5106-7030 presents a sophisticated grey linen dial with crisp markers and a practical day-date at 3 o’clock. The overall look is both composed and richly tactile, letting the textured dial take centre stage.

The Seikomatic-P series was one of Seiko’s most refined automatic lines in the late 1960s, often considered a direct predecessor to the Lord Matic family. What sets the Seikomatic-P apart is the calibre 5106, a premium movement with both automatic and manual winding, a hacking function, and a high jewel count for improved durability and accuracy. Produced in March 1969, this reference 5106-7030 is a wonderful example of Seiko’s late-60s design language: bold case architecture, textured linen dials, and practical day-date complication. These models were positioned as luxury-class domestic market watches and remain highly collectible today for their technical innovations and elegant style.

Featuring the premium 5106 automatic + hand-wind movement with hacking, grey linen dial, new crystal, and original Seiko bracelet. A rare and collectible Japanese vintage watch in excellent condition.

Presented with the original Seiko stainless-steel bracelet and a newly fitted crystal, the watch is ready for daily wear. Freshly serviced, the movement runs precisely with all functions working flawlessly. The case retains a clean polished finish with minor signs of age-related wear, while the original linen-textured dial is in excellent preserved condition, showing sharp indices and well-defined texture. The original bracelet is also well-preserved with only light scrathes, making it a ready-to-wear vintage piece.
