Seikosha Sub-Seconds Ref.1741 - 1940s

This gorgeous Seikosha Model 10 is a 15 Jewel Mechanical timepiece that brought Seiko into the limelight as a serious watchmaking company. The Seikosha mechanical movement was built c.1940s with a sub-secondhand dial that is separate from the main movement. This watch was produced prior to the formation of the DAINI and SUWA separate factories.

This seldom seen Vintage Seikosha is in mint condition and features a pearl white main dial and a silver sub-second dial located at the 6H position. The dial and 14K solid-gold indices and hands underwent a meticulous professional cleaning process to reveal pure class in well preserved form. All parts are original Seiko. The crystal is also original.

The crown is located at the traditional 3H positions and nicely tucked away to prevent damage or snags. The crown is original and was reduced in size compared to the 1930s Seiko mechanical movements.

Equipped with a Seikosha 10 movement constructed from stainless steel, it has 15 Jewels and operate at 18,000 BPH. The case size is c.31mm (without crown). The lug width is 16mm, and the strap can accommodate wrists up to 20cm.

A brand new hi-quality chestnut brown genuine leather strap with matching stitching and silver buckle is provided. This is a stunning circa 1940s Seiko Sub-Seconds in near mint condition with a beautifully preserved vintage dial, movement, stunning case, and immaculate 14K solid gold indices and hands.
